The Life and Death of Yahya Sinwar

Yahya Sinwar, former chairman of Hamas, was killed by the Israeli military on October 16th, 2024 in Gaza, fighting until the last moment of his life. While Zionists celebrate his death, many supporters are grieving his loss amidst the ongoing genocide going on in Gaza.

Sinwar, who is rumored to have been behind October 7th attacks, fired until he took his last breath, standing upright despite being shot in the arm by IDF forces. To many pro-Palestinians, the perseverance Sinwar showed in his last moments is a symbol of Palestinian struggle.

Sinwar, who first became politically active in the 1980s, met the founder of Hamas, Sheikh Ahmed Yasin when they were both being held in Israeli prison. Since then he’s been an active leader of Hamas, with an aim of fighting for freedom for the Palestinians.
